Can you drink on Zidoval?
When used in gel form, the effect isn’t as likely to be as intense compared to oral Metronidazole. However, there can still be side effects, so it’s worth avoiding alcohol while using this treatment and for 24 hours after finishing.
How long does it take for Zidoval to work?
Symptoms of BV should clear up after five days of using Zidoval. If you are still experiencing symptoms after finishing the course, you should get in contact with us again to discuss other options.
When should I apply this gel?
It is best to apply the gel before bedtime, as this is when movement is minimal, which gives the treatment time to work.
Can I still use a tampon when using Zidoval?
No – if you begin your period while using this medication, it is best to use external sanitary products such as sanitary pads or absorbent underwear.
