The morning-after pill is used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected sex. It helps to delay or prevent the release of an egg from the ovary, to prevent fertilisation.
It is taken as a single dose; one type of morning after pill can be taken up to 72 hours, and one up to 96 hours after unprotected sex. A member of the team will ask you when this occurred, and your weight, to ensure you receive the most appropriate treatment.
