    Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray is medically proven to stop, inactivate and eliminate virus symptoms in their tracks, preventing them from developing into a full-blown cold. When applied straight to the nose (where cold viruses typically form), the microgel catches and suppresses virus-causing germs, preventing them from growing and reproducing. You then swallow or expel nasal mucus from your nose (blowing your nose), remove the viruses from your body. Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray is a virus-blocker nasal spray developed to help stop colds and lessen the severity of your symptoms if you suffer from a cold. The spray catches and neutralises cold viruses in the nasal mucosa (nasal lining) before they attach and multiply, causing infection.

    Yes, you can use Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray with other remedies, as there are no known conflicting ingredients.

  • If I feel my nose getting blocked, can I use Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray?

    Yes. You can still use Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray if you are in the initial 36-hour window of your cold symptoms. Vicks help inactivate the cold virus, but after 36 hours, the virus has most likely evolved into a full-on cold.

  • How and when do I need to use Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray?

    Spray Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray two to three times up each nostril within 24-36 hours after noticing the first cold symptoms (sneezing or a tickle at the back of your throat). Apply Vicks First Cold Virus-Blocker Nasal Spray no more than four times daily. Do not breathe the product in deeply. 

Side Effects

Side effects with Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray are rare. However, you may notice a runny nose (nasal discharge) or a short-term stinging feeling which indicates the product is doing its job.

As with other nasal sprays, Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray Bottle may inflame the nasal mucosa (nose lining), leading to a nosebleed. While rare, this typically doesn't last long and is minor. If you notice this side effect, stop using it immediately. If you experience a heavy nosebleed or it continues, speak to your GP or Pharmacy Online pharmacist as soon as possible.
