Syndol headache relief tablets provide fast-acting and effective pain relief, targeting acute moderate pains including headaches, migraines and toothache. Syndol tablets provide pain relief where paracetamol, ibuprofen, or aspirin alone have not eased pain. Contains four active ingredients: paracetamol, codeine phosphate, caffeine, and doxylamine succinate which work together to effectively soothe pain. Suitable for use in adults and children over 12 years old.

Syndol is used for the short-term treatment of acute moderate pain. It is used in cases where paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin alone do not effectively relieve pain symptoms such as headaches, migraines, neuralgia, period pain, toothache, muscular and rheumatic aches. Syndol tablets are also prescribed for pain relief following surgery or dental procedures.

Syndol is for short-term use only. The pharmacist can only supply 1 box of Syndol tablets per patient per order.

FAQ

How long should I use Syndol tablets for?
You should take Syndol tablets up to the recommended dosage period of 3 days. You should not continue to take Syndol after the recommended 3 day period due to the addictive properties of codeine.
What is the recommended Syndol dose?
Adult patients should take one or two tablets every 4 to 6 hours, up to four times daily. The maximum dosage of Syndol within a 24 hour period is 8 tablets.
You should not take Syndol more frequently than the minimum recommended period of every 4 hours.
My pain is still bothering me after 3 days, can I take more Syndol?
If you are still experiencing pain after the recommended dosage period of 3 days, please seek medical advice. Do not continue taking Syndol after the 3 day period, as prolonged usage is highly discouraged due to risks of physical and psychological dependence (addiction).

Side Effects

There are, like all medications, risks of side effects when taking Syndol.

Syndol tablets may make you feel drowsy. It is not recommended to drive or operate heavy machinery whilst taking co-codamol.

Syndol tablets can cause addiction so it is only recommended for 3 days use only.

Syndol tablets may cause stomach disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, constipation and cramps.

If you experience more severe side effects whilst taking Syndol, cease use and seek medical attention.
