    Vaniqa is a clinically proven cream to treat excessive facial hair growth in women. It should be used twice a day, in the morning and evening. Results are not immediate, but a significant difference can be seen between 6-8 weeks. If no results are visible after four months of treatment, it should be stopped.

Vaniqa is a topical cream containing eflornithine used to slow down the growth of facial hair in women. Effects can be shown within two months; however, it should be used continuously in order to see the effects fully.


  • How long does it take for effects to show?

    When used correctly, it can take up to eight weeks for the treatment to be effective. It is recommended to use this cream for up to four months.

  • What will happen if I stop using Vaniqa cream?

    If you stop using this product, hair production will start again, and it is likely that hair will return within eight weeks.

  • Can I still drink alcohol while using this cream?

    There are no known interactions between alcohol and Vaniqa.

  • How do you apply Vaniqa cream to get the best results?

    For best results, apply the cream twice a day to areas of the face with unwanted hair growth.

    Wait five minutes after applying the cream before applying other products like moisturiser or makeup.

Side Effects

There is always a risk of side effects with all medications. Some of these can be quite mild and can subside over time. Others are more serious and should be reported to your GP right away if you experience any side effects.
