Potters Pastilles contain a combination of honey and lemon to soothe sore throats. Acid reflux, smoking, and common colds can all cause a sore throat, and each pastille combats the pain, making it easier to swallow and talk. Other ingredients include glucose syrup, sugar, gelatine, dextrose and flavouring.

There are few side effects associated with Potters Pastilles, but taking too many can result in stomach aches, nausea and digestive issues. If you notice these symptoms, or an allergic reaction, stop taking the medication and consult with a registered pharmacist.

Are Potters Pastilles suitable for children?

Potters pastilles are suitable for children 12 and over. For both adults and older children the maximum daily dosage is 20 honey pastilles in one day.

Who should avoid the pastilles?

The pastilles contain bovine gelatine, which isn't suitable for Halal, Kosher, vegetarian and vegan diets. Their sugar and glucose content also can cause unwanted side effects in diabetics or individuals with sugar intolerances.

Will Potters cure throat infections?

Taking this medicine will relieve a sore throat, but bacterial infections often require antibiotics. If you notice white patches on your throat, have a high temperature or aren't getting any better after a few days, consult a medical professional.
