Beechams Flu Plus Caplets contain three active ingredients, including 500mg of paracetamol, 25mg of caffeine and 5mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride. Paracetamol is a painkiller (analgesic) that lessens body temperature due to a fever (antipyretic). Phenylephrine hydrochloride (a decongestant) clears your sinuses and nose.   • How do you use Beechams Flu Plus Caplets?

    Swallow two caplets (applies to adults, the elderly and children aged 16 and above). Take every four to six hours when you need to. Avoid ingesting more than eight in a 24-hour period.

  • What do Beechams Flu Plus Caplets do?

    Beechams Flu Relief Caplets tackle common cold and flu symptoms such as shivers, aches and pains, headaches, stuffy noses and sore sinuses, throat irritation, fatigue, and catarrh.

  • Does Beechams Flu Relief Plus contain ibuprofen?

    No, Beechams Flu Relief Plus does not contain ibuprofen. It has the following three active ingredients:

    • 500mg of paracetamol.
    • 5mg of phenylephrine.
    • 25mg of caffeine.

Side Effects

Paracetamol infrequently causes any issues. However, allergic reactions, like skin rashes sometimes occur. Very rarely, you may experience a blood disorder, but these are not necessarily due to paracetamol. 

Other rare side effects from taking Beechams Flu Plus include increased blood pressure, feeling dizzy, headache, upset stomach, insomnia and rapid heartbeat caused by phenylephrine.
