That said, they may help calm throat irritation and provide short-term relief from coughing caused by a sore throat.   • How many Strepsils can I take in a day?

    You can take one lozenge every two to three hours daily to relieve sore throat pain. But don't exceed more than 12 of these honey and lemon lozenges in a 24-hour period.

  • Can you drink water after taking Strepsils?

    Of course. You can consume water after sucking on a Strepsil lozenge. If you're suffering from a sore throat, one of the best things you can do is to sip plenty of water and other alcohol-free liquids to lessen pain and increase the efficacy of the lozenges.

    However, before drinking water, let the lozenge dissolve gradually in your mouth without swallowing or chewing it right away. Then swallow water to further calm your sore throat.

Side Effects
