  • What's the flu?

The flu is short for influenza, an illness caused by a virus. Rather than there being numerous variants as there are with colds, the flu has only three types, including:

    • Type B
    • Type C

The most common types are A and B - you can get these varieties across the seasons. On the other hand, type C flu leads to more insignificant respiratory problems.

You can catch the flu if an infected person sneezes or coughs near you or via germs. These germs can survive on surfaces for almost 24 hours. Typical flu symptoms include runny noses, stuffy noses, sneezing, coughing, nausea, and headaches.
