Do not give this medicine to your child if they are allergic to any of the ingredients.

The usual dosage for Calprofen 100mg 5ml ibuprofen suspension sachets depends on the child's age and weight.

• For children aged 3 months (and weighing over 5kg): 2.5ml (half a sachet) up to three times in 24 hours. Do not give your child this medicine for more than 24 hours.
• 6 months to 1 year old: 2.5ml (half a sachet) three times in 24 hours.
• For children aged 1 to 2 years: 2.5ml (half a sachet) three to four times in 24 hours.
• For children aged 3 to 7 years: 5ml three to four times in 24 hours.
• For children aged 8 to 12 years: 10ml three to four times in 24 hours.
• Post immunisation fever relief: one 2.5ml (half a sachet), with a follow up of one more 2.5ml (half a sachet) 6 hours later. Do not give your child more than two doses in 24 hours. If their fever doesn't reduce, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

Calprofen ibuprofen suspension sachets are generally suitable for children over the age of 3 months and weighing 5kg or more. However, it shouldn't be given to:

• Children under 3 months of age or weighing less than 5kg
• Children who are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredient of the product
• Children who are taking other NSAID painkillers or aspirin or other related painkillers with a daily dose above 75mg
• Children with a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding, or have a stomach ulcer
• Children who have or previously have had high blood pressure, heart problems, bowel problems, a stroke, or unexplained stomach pain
• Children with severe kidney or liver problems
• Children with asthma or other respiratory conditions
• Children suffering with chronic inflammatory bowel disease, for example, Crohn's disease
