Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray is a decongestant nasal spray that provides fast and soothing relief for blocked nose symptoms caused by colds and sinusitis, reducing blocked nose symptoms and catarrh. It gets to work quickly and offers relief for up to 12 hours. It includes the active substance oxymetazoline.

  • When can't I use Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray for a blocked nose?

    Avoid using Vicks Sinex Soother Nasal Spray if you:

    • Are currently taking treatments for high blood pressure such as Debrisoquine, Bethanidine or Guanethidine.
    • Have irritated nasal tissues (nasal mucosa) or scabs.
    • Have had surgery to remove your pituitary gland.
    • Suffer from severe cardiac asthma or coronary disease.
    • Have a sensitivity to oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
    • Are allergic to any of the other ingredients in the Vicks Sinex Soother Decongestant Nasal Spray.
    • Are currently taking (or have taken the following medication in the last two weeks): monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) to treat depression and Parkinson's disease.
    • Have narrow-angle glaucoma.
    • Take tricyclic antidepressants.
    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Why do I have a blocked nose?

    Typically, colds and rhinitis cause a blocked nose, which leads to nasal irritation and swelling, making breathing more difficult as an abundance of mucus builds up. A blocked nose disappears on its own once the cold or allergy goes away.
