FAQ

  • How do I use menthol crystals?

Pour a small number of menthol crystals into a bowl filled with hot water, then inhale the steam. Ensure the water is not boiling so you don't scald yourself. The menthol crystals are most effective if you inhale before bedtime, as the treatment will help you sleep much better.

If a small number of crystals are not sufficient, add more crystals slowly. Take continuous breaks. You can also dissolve menthol crystals in hot water so they release a potent vapour which you can inhale for effective and rapid relief from a congested nose.

  • What causes a stuffy nose?

Usually, a stuffy nose (otherwise known as a blocked nose) is caused by the flu or a common cold. Blood vessels in your sinuses and nose become dilated, leading to a blockage. This increase in mucus can also cause a congested nose.

  • Can I use this menthol medicine if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

It's unlikely you'll experience any problems when using this aromatherapy treatment if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. But we advise speaking to your GP or a Pharmacy Online pharmacist if you are in doubt before use.
