    Benylin Dry Coughs Syrup relieves persistent dry coughs otherwise known as non-productive coughs, and delivers a soothing effect on your irritated throat. Its potent cough suppressant, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, helps mitigate your coughing reflex, lessening the urge to cough and easing non-productive coughs. Levomenthol soothes stuffiness in your nose to help you breathe easier. It's suitable for adults and children aged 12 and above and contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide and levomenthol.

  • How do I take this medicine?

    Adults and children aged 12 and above:

    • Take two 5 ml spoonfuls (10 ml) four times daily
    • Avoid taking more than four doses in one day
    • Don't give to children below 12 years
  • What ingredients does this product contain?

    Benylin Dry Coughs Syrup contains the active ingredient dextromethorphan hydrobromide as well as levomenthol. It also includes liquid glucose, citric acid monohydrate, imitation peach flavour, glycerol, sucrose, sodium benzoate, caramel, saccharin sodium, and purified water.

  • Why do I have a dry cough?

    A range of factors lead to a dry cough, including viruses such as the common cold, the flu, acid reflux, allergies, and asthma. Sometimes, the trigger isn't always apparent, so if your cough continues, it might be best to talk to your doctor or one of our pharmacists. 

  • Who can take Benylin Dry Coughs Syrup?

    Adults and children aged 12 and over can take Benylin Dry Coughs Syrup. If you're allergic to the ingredients in this syrup, avoid use. You also shouldn't use this medication if:

    • You suffer from a lung condition
    • You're taking antidepressants
    • You're taking or have taken Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) in the last 14 days
  • Can I use this medication if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

    Speak to your doctor or one of our pharmacists before taking this medicine if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
