    Nurofen for children strawberry flavour oral suspension is a specially formulated pain and fever relief medicine for children. This longer lasting fever relief medicine starts to work in just 15 minutes to relieve fever, providing up to 8 hours of pain and fever relief. Contains ibuprofen and can be taken with or without food. Nurofen for Children Strawberry Double Strength is suitable for children from 7-12 years.

  • What is the usual dosage for this medicine?

    Fever, Pain and Symptoms of Cold and Flu:

    • Children aged 7 to 9 years old: One 5ml dose (200mg ibuprofen) every 6-8 hours, up to a maximum of 3 doses per day.
    • Children aged 10 to 12 years old: One 7.5ml dose (300mg ibuprofen) every 6-8 hours, up to a maximum of 3 doses per day.

    Doses should be given every 6 - 8 hours. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than the recommended dose in 24 hours. If symptoms persist after 3 days or worsen, consult your doctor.

    Yes, kids can have Nurofen 200MG, but only if they are over the age of 7 years old. Nurofen 200MG is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve fever and pain in children.

  • Who can not take Nurofen for Children Oral Suspension

    Important: Do not give Nurofen for Children Oral Suspension to:

    • Children under the age of 7 years old or weigh less than 20kg
    • Children who are allergic to ibuprofen or other NSAIDs, or any ingredient in this medicine including aspirin
    • Children who have ever suffered from shortness of breath, asthma, a runny nose, swelling on their face and/or hands or hives after using aspirin or other similar painkillers (NSAIDs)
    • Children who have (or have had two or more episodes of) a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding
    • Children who have ever had a gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, related to previous use of NSAIDs.
    • Children who have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding problems
    • Children who are taking other blood-thinning medications
    • Children who have asthma and are sensitive to aspirin
    • Children who have severe liver, kidney or bowel problems
    • Children who have severe heart failure
    • Children who have a fructose intolerance
    • Children who are taking other NSAID painkillers or other related painkillers, including aspirin with a daily dose above 75mg

    Some other things to keep in mind:

    • This liquid ibuprofen suspension should be used with caution in children who have diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease, or chicken pox
    • Nurofen for Children can interact with other medications, so it is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist about all of the medications your child is taking
    • Nurofen for Children should not be given to children for more than 3 days without talking to your doctor
