Nurofen for Children Suspension Sachets are easy to administer and have a delicious strawberry flavour. Each sachet contains 5ml of medicine, which can be given to children using the syringe provided in the pack.

Nurofen for Children can be used to relieve a variety of childhood pains and fevers, including:

• Teething pain
• Toothache
• Earache
• Headache
• Muscular aches and strains
• Sore throat
• Cold and flu symptoms
• Fever

The ingredients in Nurofen for Children strawberry flavour sachets are:

• Active ingredient: Ibuprofen 100mg per 5ml of medicine.
• Other ingredients: Maltitol liquid, water, glycerol, citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium chloride, sodium saccharin, strawberry flavour, xanthan gum, polysorbate 80, domiphen bromide.

Please note: Nurofen for Children contains maltitol. If your child has an intolerance to fructose, contact your doctor before giving them this medicine. Maltitol may have a mild laxative effect.

To use the medicine, shake a sachet well before opening. Tear open the sachet and squeeze the contents into the syringe provided. Give the child the medicine slowly and carefully.

The dosage of Nurofen for Children Suspension Sachets will vary depending on the child's age and weight. Please consult the patient information leaflet for specific dosage instructions.

General dosage guidelines:

• Children aged 3-6 months and weighing over 5kg: One 2.5ml dose 3 times a day. Do not use for more than 24 hours.
• Children aged 6-12 months: One 2.5ml dose 3 or 4 times a day.
• Children aged 1-3 years: One 5ml dose 3 times a day.
• Children aged 4-6 years: One 7.5ml (5ml + 2.5ml) dose 3 times a day.
• Children aged 7-9 years: One 10ml (5ml + 5ml) dose 3 times a day.

Doses should be given every 6-8 hours. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not exceed the stated dose in 24 hours.

Nurofen for Children is generally well-tolerated in children over 3 months of age. However, this medicine isn't suitable for every child.

Nurofen for Children should not be given to children who:

• Are allergic to ibuprofen or other NSAID painkillers
• Have a stomach ulcer or have a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding
• Have severe liver or kidney disease
• Are taking certain other medicines, such as aspirin, warfarin, or methotrexate
