    Paramol is a dual therapy pain relief medication that alleviates discomfort quickly and effectively, for a migraine, period pain, dental pain, or muscular aches. The Paramol Tablets help due to a combination of Dihydrocodeine (an effective analgesic) and Paracetamol (a regular painkiller, also helpful for reducing high temperatures and fevers). The pain killer tablets are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. The active ingredients in Paramol tablets are dihydrocodeine 7.46mg and paracetamol 500mg.

What are Paramol tablets?

Paramol tablets are powerful and effective painkillers used to treat acute moderate pain that cannot be managed with other simple painkillers. It has two ingredients (paracetamol and dihydrocodeine) which work in combination to provide fast and effective pain relief.

  • Are Paramol painkillers addictive?

    It all depends on the patient. Paramol does contain an opioid (dihydrocodeine) that can be associated with addictive tendencies. It is recommended that Paramol is used for a maximum of 3 days only

  • What sort of pain does Paramol treat?

    Paramol tablets can be used to treat a variety of pain ranging from back pain, headaches, migraines, period pains, Paramol can be used to treat a variety of pain ranging from back pain, dental pain, headaches, migraines, period pains, toothache, muscle aches, and other pains.

  • Should I take laxatives whilst taking Paramol?

    It is not always necessary, however, Paramol can cause constipation. Speak to one of our team for further advice about taking Paramol if necessary.

Like any medicine, there are possible risks of side effects when taking Paramol. Paramol can cause stomach disturbances, constipation, flushing, drowsiness, and at times addiction.
