    Galpharm Max Strength Cold & Flu Capsules relieve cold and flu symptoms, like sore throats, aches and pains, blocked noses (nasal congestion), headaches, exhaustion and sleepiness, and feverishness. Paracetamol (an analgesic) relieves pain and reduces your temperature when you have a fever. Caffeine helps promote the effects of paracetamol and increases your alertness, while phenylephrine (a decongestant) reduces inflamed nasal passages. It's suitable for adults and children over 12 years and contains paracetamol, caffeine, and phenylephrine.

  • How do I take Galpharm Max Strength Cold & Flu Capsules?

    Adults and children over 12 years: Take two capsules every four hours. Do not exceed eight tablets (four doses) in 24 hours. Avoid giving to children under 12 years.

  • How long should I take Galpharm Max Strength Cold & Flu Capsules?

    You can take Galpharm Max Strength Cold & Flu Capsules for no longer than three days to reduce cold and flu symptoms. If symptoms persist, you can take paracetamol instead of the Galpharm Max Strength Cold & Flu Capsules and contact your GP for further advice.

Side Effects

Most individuals do not experience any side effects when taking Galpharm Max Strength Cold & Flu Capsules. But, if you notice any of the below side effects, cease taking the medication promptly, and consult your doctor or Pharmacy Online pharmacist. 

Unknown side effects are: 

  • Restlessness, anxiousness, tension, jitteriness, crankiness
  • Bronchospasm

Infrequent side effects include: 

  • Feeling sick (nausea) 
  • Being sick (vomiting) 
  • Diarrhoea
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Tremor  
  • Allergic reactions like a skin rash 
  • Sleeping problems (insomnia)
  • Increased blood pressure 
  • Rapid, sluggish or erratic heartbeat (palpitations) 
  • Difficulty or discomfort when urinating
  • Glaucoma 
  • Suddenly lose weight, appetite loss and yellowing of the skin and eyes

More infrequently, the below side effects may occur: 

  • Increased tendency to bleeding, bruising, fevers and illnesses, like ulcers and irritated throat, because of shifts in your blood. 

Extremely infrequent side effects include severe skin infections.
