Galpharm Junior Ibuprofen Suspension is a child-friendly, tasty orange flavour medication designed to provide relief from fever, and mild to moderate pain in children aged 3 months to 12 years. It contains ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by reducing inflammation and pain.

Each 5ml dose of Galpharm junior ibuprofen suspension contains 100mg of ibuprofen, effectively reducing fever and easing discomfort caused by teething pain, headaches, sore throats, cold and flu symptoms, and minor aches and sprains.

Galpharm Junior Ibuprofen Suspension contains the following ingredients:

Active Ingredient:

• Ibuprofen 100mg per 5ml

Inactive Ingredients:

• Maltitol Liquid (E965)
• Sodium Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E219)
• Sodium Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E217)
• Glycerol
• Xanthan Gum
• Polysorbate 80
• Sodium Hydroxide
• Citric Acid Monohydrate
• Orange Flavour
• Purified Water

Do not give this medicine to your child if they're allergic to any of the ingredients.

The usual dosage for this suspension depends on your child's age and weight.

General dosage guidance:

• Children aged 3-6 months: 2.5ml (50mg) every 6-8 hours as required
• Children aged 6-12 months: 2.5ml (50mg) every 4-6 hours as required
• Children aged 1-3 years: 5ml (100mg) every 6-8 hours as required
• Children aged 4-6 years: 7.5ml (150mg) every 6-8 hours as required
• Children aged 7-9 years: 10ml (200mg) every 6-8 hours as required
• Children aged 10-12 years: 15ml (300mg) every 6-8 hours as required

Do not exceed the maximum daily dosage of 30mg per kg of body weight.

From minor aches and sprains to moderate pain associated with a headache, sore throat, teething pain, cold and flu symptoms, and post immunisation fever, Galpharm healthcare junior ibuprofen suspension (orange flavour) is suitable for most children aged 3 months to 12 years

However:

• Do not give to children under 3 months of age.
• Do not give to children who are allergic to ibuprofen or any other ingredient in the medicine.
• Do not give to children who have asthma, stomach ulcers, or kidney problems.
• Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before giving this medicine to children who are taking other medicines, including other painkillers, blood thinners, or diuretics.
